Find what you need, fast

• Recent — the saved files you opened most recently, each listed once.
• Favorites — mark the notes you return to often so they're always one click away.
• Pinned files — keep specific documents fixed at the top of your workspace regardless of activity.
• Tags — group related notes across folders.
• Quick Note — start a note from the Clarity icon in the menu bar.
• Document statistics — live word, character, and line counts, and reading time.
• Focus Mode — hide everything but the page when you need to concentrate.

Local-first, always available

Notes are stored locally on your Mac. There's no account to create and no cloud sync dependency — open Clarity Edit and your notes are there, whether you're online or not.

Your work is protected

Closing a tab, closing a window, or quitting asks before discarding unsaved changes, and a note stays open until it has actually been saved.
