GiveValue Privacy Policy

Short version: GiveValue is local-first. It does not require an account, does not use analytics, and does not upload your donation records to a server.

Who we are

GiveValue is an iOS and iPadOS app developed by Sonoma Enterprises that helps donors document charitable donations for tax purposes. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the GiveValue app.

Donation data and local app data

Your donation records, saved charities, and item valuations are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. GiveValue does not upload this data to Sonoma Enterprises or any third-party server.

Purchases

Tax report unlocks are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Sonoma Enterprises does not receive or store your payment card information.

Analytics, ads, and tracking

GiveValue does not include analytics SDKs, ad tracking SDKs, or third-party telemetry. No user profiling or behavioral tracking is performed.

Exports you create

PDF and CSV tax reports are generated on your device. What you do with an exported report — such as emailing it to an accountant — is entirely your choice; GiveValue does not transmit exports anywhere automatically.

iCloud sync

iCloud sync across devices is a planned future enhancement and is optional; when available, it will be off by default and will use Apple's standard iCloud infrastructure rather than a Sonoma Enterprises server.

Children

GiveValue is a general-purpose financial documentation tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when app features, privacy practices, or legal requirements change. This page will be finalized ahead of GiveValue's App Store launch.
